Rice with rosemary recipe

A very quick recipe with the Basmati rice.

Even those who have never cooked can prepare the rice with rosemary with satisfaction. That recipe is extremely simple and fun to prepare: are you able to put a pot of water on the fire and light it up? That's great, you are well advanced!

Rosemary

Ingredients for the rice with rosemary (1 person)

  • 80 grams of rice (Basmati rice or other of your choice);
  • 1 small sprig of rosemary;
  • some vegetable broth (or a vegetable stock-cube);
  • salt;
  • 2 tablespoons of butter.

Preparation of the rice with rosemary

Put in a pot of water a vegetable stock-cube, place the pot on the stove with a lid and turn on the fire. Meanwhile wash the rosemary, separate the needles from the branch and cut them finely.

When the water boils, add a little bit of salt (remember that you have already put a salty stock-cube in the water) and then, when the water starts again to boil, add the rice. Basmati rice cooks in about 12 minutes, the other kinds of rice cook in about 20 minutes.

When the rice is cooked, taste it and drain it. Pour the rice into the plate together with the two tablespoons of butter. Mix well by combining the chopped rosemary.

Now the rice with rosemary is ready!
