The original recipe calls for the preparation and the addition of meat ragout. To meet the needs of vegetarians here is a version without meat ragout, but as tasty as the original. Or even more!
Sauté (not very much) the onion in oil or butter, add the rice and leave 1 minute over low heat, stirring with a wooden spoon.
Add the tomato sauce and let the rice marinate a few minutes (2 or 3), add a few at a time hot water (1 small glass at a time), add the vegetable granular from bouillon cube and finish cooking (about 18 minutes).
Before turning off, add the nutmeg and finally the milk. Let it stand for 1 minute and then serve it.
