Among 20 common amino acids (or “building blocks”) that make up proteins in our bodies and in food, eight to ten are considered essential because our bodies can’t make them, so we only get them from food.
The soybean contains the full content of amino acid, indeed it’s considered the best among plant protein source. Many recipes can be prepared using tofu as the main ingredient, like the so called “Tofu tacos” (see the receipt below), using garlic, onion, mushrooms, carrots, spinach and tomatoes.
