Rising Food Prices... (infographic)

... and their impact on hungry people around the world.

With Latin American crisis among these years (2005-2011), prices has been increasing too much regarding products. For example crops such as rice (+ 102%, the question has always been if it's a main course or a side dish!), wheat (+115%) or maize (+204%).

In poor countries such as Bangladesh would be really a problem if food price would increase by the 50% because on the other side there's no such a high income due to a poor economy. If iron consumption declines by 30% in the Philippines, only 5% of Philippino's women would consume an adequate percentage of iron.
