Thyme: a penetrating fragrance in its both fresh and dried varieties available in local supermarkets throughout all the year and in local spice stores in every areas respectively in the refrigerator, wrapped in a slightly damp paper towel, and in a tightly sealed glass container in a cool dark and dry place, where it will keep fresh for about six months.
Along with fresh sprigs of parsley and bay leaves, Thyme is included in the French combination of herbs called bouquet garni (“garnished bouquet”), a bundle of herbs usually tied together with strings, usually cooked with the other ingredients, but removed prior to consumption.
