The Original Orange Marmalade recipe

The orange color and its sweetness.

We shouldn't underestimate the Orange color: a joyful, incandescent, brilliant, full of warmth pigment, it helps to stimulate the emotions and to express them freely.

The orange color is full of dynamism, it is active, it is elated; it is the color not only of the esoteric people, but also of the individualists and of the lovers of freedom. The orange is lovable and gives sociability; it remembers the fire, the autumn and the summer hotness, the sunset, the oranges and the mandarins.

Oranges

Ingredients for the orange marmalade

  • 9 oranges;
  • 3 lemons;
  • water;
  • sugar.

Preparation of the orange marmalade

Weigh 9 oranges and 3 lemons; for every 500 grams of fruit estimate 1 liter of water.

Remove the peel from the fruits and cut them into thin slices. Throw away any seeds that you might find.

Put the slices in the water and leave them in infusion for 24 hours.

The day after, remove the slices from the water and put them in a pan. Cook everything for 1 hour, then leave the result stand for 24 hours (this marmalade is time consuming, isn't it?).

Weigh the result and add 300 grams of sugar for each 500 grams of fruit. Put it back on the fire and let it condensate until it reach the density characteristic of orange marmalade. That's all!
